Free print — cut from the pages of books

Altered Pereptions

Three altered works

Cut from the pages of books.

Reworked into print.

What remains is a translation.

Each piece began as a hand-cut page.

In some cases, the text has been removed—what you see is the structure that remained after cutting.

In others, the page itself is still visible.

They sit somewhere between document and image.

A Note

These works sits alongside an ongoing body of work:

The Novel Print Archive

Each month, a single piece is cut from a book,
printed, numbered, and then closed.

That is where the work continues.

From time to time, I make a small number of pieces available outside of that sequence —
as a way of entering the work from a different point.

As an independent practice, these are produced in small numbers,
with only the cost of production and postage covered.

Great customer service from the start. A3 print arrived very well packaged and it was really lovely. I am currently ordering a second print to compliment the first as it is so wonderful.
